A Rickenbacher made Bronson Melody King from the early 1950's.
Flip up the tuner cover and there is the decal saying,"MFG. BY RICKENBACHER ELECTRO".
Beautiful rootbeer mottled bakelite body. All original componants and case.
With that famous horseshoe pickup at 1.25". The first and arguably the best guitar pickup made.
Scale length is 22.5".
Small nicks on the cavity covers and head plate but no chips, dings or cracks on the body.
The pots are smooth with no scratches or crackles.
Five fret dots missing.
The case has a latch gone but no damage or cracks and the lining is all good.
The 4th string tuner is bent as is the 3rd string slightly.
If you have questions please post on the thread, if you want to buy please send me a PM...FCFS.
The price is fixed so please do not make a lower offer.
$850 plus shipping.
Cheers, Ron

Super looking guitar, Ron. It looks like the tuner on the 4th string is slightly bent. Do all of the tuners work properly with no slippage? Also, what tuning do you have the guitar in now? Thanks.

Hey Gerry, yes it's a classic for sure.
Yes, the 4th string is bent and so is the 3rd slightly.
I am sorry, in my haste to post it I forgot to note those things.
The post has been edited.
Yes, the turners all work fine with no slippage...they hold their tuning.
Right now it's tuned to open E...the 1-5-1-3-5-1 form.
Thanks,
Ron |
