Here is a recent session I did and what makes this "special" for me, is that Jason Gutierrez is the son of one of one of my dearest friends on the whole planet and I have known Jason his entire life!
He use to walk under my steel during jam sessions at his dad's house. Take a listen, hope you enjoy it.

The song was fine, the voice was really nice, but it seemed like YOU.......were off in another room or down the hall.

To me, it didn't sound like you were in the same group or at the same sound level. Nice playing tho'.

What affect box were you using?

The steel is mixed to the left channel, Ray. There's a subtle phase shifter effect.

Beautiful solo, Jim!

b0b is correct, the steel is mixed to the left side and just enough phase shifter to make me feel a little bit "sneaky"Smile

The singer is great, I started clapping (how silly) when I heard his voice, and the steel fits the song perfectly.

Sounds Great. Nice job by all. Your solo reminds me how far I have to go. Its a good tune, did he record an album or just the one song ?

Excellent Jim!

Great song, and who says no one is making great country music anymore, you just have to go out and find it.

The steel playing has a Sneaky Pete vibe going on and it sounds great.

I thought that was excellent. Loved the way you worked the harmonics and phaser at the end of the solo. The phaser really fits the mood throughout. Don't care for it when people just chuck an effect in there cause they have one. That wasn't the case here. Really good tune.

Good job Jim. Great piece of posterity for your friend having a recording featuring his son (who is a nice singer) and his long time friend.

Which guitar from your herd did you use? Smile

Thank you all for your kind words, I'm glad you liked our efforts on this song.

Jim C, just the one song for now.

Ken B, I'm playing my 79 S-10 PP Emmons.
