| Bought this app for 10 bucks yesterday. It is worth every penny. Super accurate even with just the iphone mic. Amazing to have peterson capability on a mobile device for a reasonable price! |

| One caveat to this - if you are using anything other than equal temperament this is not the tuning app for you. It doesn't support other temperaments. |

I have the Peterson iphone app, too. I'm hoping they'll do an upgrade for sweetened tunings. In the meantime, I'm using the Cleartune app. It works very well and custom temperments are easy to program into it. There are lots of discussions about it on the Forum.

David,you can always just write down the offsets, and use the app the old way. I still recall after 30 years the values I used to tune my push-pull.

I have used it since I started a couple years ago. I tune to Jeff Newman settings with it. Works great. Sure, you have to manually change the numbers but it beats paying 150 bucks for a tuner. I can live with that for 9.99. Picked up a cable off amazon for 8 bucks. Works like a charm!

| I Use Jack stoners gfi tuning chart. Have it committed to memory. Tuner works even better with the $10 adapter. Yeah I'll take having to memorize my settings over paying the extra $180 bucks any day. |

Jamie: do tell. I just downloaded it and cannot see anywhere to input a tempered tuning. This is pretty straightforward on Cleartune.

Hey Dan,
I was just kidding in a way. I've never used or thought to use a programmed tuning. I tune just on steels generally, and I just (har har) know the offsets for thirds and go from there. On the little TU2 pedal I have, I just measured it and put two pieces of blue tape on either side of the meter pointing to where a just major third is...
