Came out of my Carter S-12. I swapped it for an LXR-16. Sounds great no issues I just liked the LXR-16 better. This has a tiny spot where the 12 string rubbed on the cover. Barely noticeable but I thought I would mention it.
I have no idea what the impedance is, don't ask. It has approximately a 12" lead.
$80.00 shipped to lower 48.
I'll take any form of payment except live chickens or sea shells.
If interested PM, email or respond to the post and we'll work out the details.

Hi Ollin,
I am looking for a new pickup for my Zum S12U. I see you also have a Zum. Does it look like it will fit your Zum?
I just looked at my Zum and it looks like the pickup screws will fit the slots in that pickup.
It looks like there is some writing on the wire casing. Does it say 22K-OHM?
I have a 17.5K Ohm TT in my Sierra that I like.
Thx,
Pete |

Pete, this pickup was in the Carter I sold to Ollin last year.
If I remember right, it was 18.5 or 19 K.
It is a standard wide mount, if that helps at all.
Cheers,

Chris, The Carter is serving me well. I liked the tone of the Wallace but I really like Bill Lawrence pickups. I have a set in my Mexican Tele that made that guitar come alive.
Pete, The TrueTone has a label on the back but it just reads "Wallace TrueTone TT-12". I eyeballed the pickup and it looks like it would fit in the Zum very well. All the holes line up and the pickup mount looks like it it would fill the pickup cavity exactly.
I thought about trying it in my Zum. I have a George L 12-1 in it now. As a matter of fact if no one buys this that's probably what I'll do. I sure wish more guitars had the easy change pickup option like the MSA's. _________________ Zum SD-12 Black, Zum SD-12 Burly Elm Several B-Bender Tele's and a lot of other gear I can't play.

Thanks for the info you guys.
Unless either of you think it is a Dark sounding pickup in any way, I should probably try it out.
I know some Jazz players like a Darker tone than me.
I would like to compare it with the 17.5K TT I have here.
I am basically more of a Treble-ee/Zingy tone kind of guy. I can roll off the high's a bit if needed, but strings 9-12 need to be able to be pretty Bright when I do my low-end finger picking thing, also.
Ollin, I will send you a PM with more info.
Thx,

Hi Ollin,
I just tested out the pickup in my Sierra S12U for about 20-30 minutes.
It sounds fine.
I can also see it will fit perfectly into my ZUM S12U (next time I change strings I will install it).
The pickup currently in my Zum has a wierd internal short causing it to buzz really bad, even though it is a humbucker. So I haven't been gigging with it.
I tested it in my Sierra, which is my main gigging Steel right now.
I set it up with my full primary gigging rig, so as to get a clear comparision to the TT pickup I have been using.
The Sierra has the pickups that slide in and out quickly, so I was able to go back and forth between your TT pickup, and my 17.5K-ohm TT pickup.
I used alligator clips on your pickup to connect to the guitar cord, and just layed it in the pickup slot with a folded up piece of paper underneath to get the pickup height correct.
When Chris said your pickup is probably 18.5-19K-ohm he was probably right.
It sounded a little fuller than my 17.5K-ohm pickup.
The bass strings still sound nice and bright, and if anything the high-G# string sounded a little more full of tone than on my pickup. They were very close in tone, overall.
So I will send you a check for $80, and I will go to the post office before 10am my time, today.
Thanks so much for giving me the chance to try out the pickup.
Thanks, Ollin!
