Yesterday, November 29th, was the 50th Anniversary of the recording of Webb Pierce's "Slowly", which featured Bud Isaac's moving tone style for the first time.
I can't believe nobody said anything! I can't believe I forgot until right now!
November 29, 1593 is the B.C./A.D. for steel guitar, and it slipped right by!
Let's not forget how important that record is, so let this be the Bud Isaacs appreciation thread!

| That original date was impressive enough for me to go out and buy a BIGSBY with Bud's set-up on one of the four necks. I played many of his tunes over the years and it was always fun to watch the crowd as I did so. |
