Thank you much Joeseph. So that whole intro is picking between string 3-6? And the beginning of the second half of the intro is with AB pedals on and off? I've been messing with that for a long time and not getting it right. ![Sad](images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) _________________ Shobud Pro1,BMI U12, Santa Cruz F, PRS Standard, Fender Twin Reverb, ‘53 000-28 |

Pretty close there Joe! Ya know Toy loved steel but always had a time with tuning. That kickoff will go down in history forever as a signature lick for MTB.
When we played the Opry at the Ryman it was the first time MTB had ever been on the Opry.
I had to kick that tune off in front of a packed house.! Didn't help any on the nerves with Tommy White standing there to!
So the kick is strings 3 & 5 in the 15th fret using A & B pedals.
Then goes to the 17th fret both pedals down rockin the A pedal off the 5th string.
The back to the 15th fret playin strings 4 & 5 in the 6 minor rockin A pedal only!
Hope that helps you guys!......k _________________ www.youtube.com/krmsr59 |

Wow! Cool! The guy that played the opry posting here? Can I have your autograph Kenny?
This is the most recognizable lick to me and should I say it? One of the greatest steel licks of all time?
Anyway, I pretty well have the first half of the intro. I've improved the second half of that pick blocking A pedal thing much with a little work. Almost recognizable. What difference in feel the subtle little nuance to timing gives it playing thumb, thumb, middle rather than t,i,m as I normally play.
Thanks guys! _________________ Shobud Pro1,BMI U12, Santa Cruz F, PRS Standard, Fender Twin Reverb, ‘53 000-28 |

Don,
You can take my autograph and a $1.50 and get a cup of coffee at the Waffle House!
Played the Opry 3 more times with MTB. It was pretty cool! I do most of the big shows with them but don't travel. Doug Gray is an awesome friend of mine and he wanted a S.C. boy to play the Opry with him.
I have played with other major artist but this was special because I grew up on MTB. Been playin since 1969 at age 10. I still need to learn how to play
All the best man.....k _________________ www.youtube.com/krmsr59 |
