Have any of you SB Fingertip owners attempted to put wheels on one end of your fingertip case, and a handle on the other end of the case? If so how did it work out? Post a pic if you have one and can, OR is there anyone bulding new cases for these behemoths? Thanks. |

Larry, Hugh Briley builds split cases w/wheels. I've contacted him on the forum. He's been real patient waiting for me to pull the trigger. _________________ “TONESNOB†|

Larry,
I'm in the process of packing up two fingertips for shipping. Sheesh! The D-10 must weigh close to 90 pounds in the case! I really don't think those original cases are sturdy enough to add wheels and a handle to. Also, the cabinet handles sit on blocks in the case. If it gets even a moderate drop, the handles supporting the behemoth might break off, and they'd probably trash the endplates. If I were to design a new case, I'd find a better way to hold the body. |
