I have a 78' Push/Pull that needs new tuners.
What would be the best quality tuners to buy?

Thank's in advance.

I have bought replacement tuners from www.stewmac.com
I believe they were the Gotoh Vintage Oval Knob tuners, 6 for $33.88.

Erv is right. You need to get the Gotoh tuners. Actually, truth be told, the Gotohs have a higher turn ratio than the old Klusons. They do look exactly the same except they don't have the "Kluson" logo on them.

DON'T get any of the new Kluson "vintage" replacement tuners. The screw holes don't line up. It kills me that Kluson manufactures a replacement tuner that isn't actually able to replace the old one.

Be sure and use the small machine screws from your old tuners on the new ones.
