I'm considering in a Sd10 and convert to C6. Could it be set up to use AB pedals to change to standard 1,4,5 changes. The steel is 3X4. What C6 tuning would you suggest. I like the high G or G#. I started out on 8sting C6 with 3pedals years ago and I would like to start learning it again. Suggestions would be apprieciated. I could use it without pedals if necessary. thank you for your help. How about P1=P4 (half stop at Bb EDIT: perhaps 4 to Bb and 8 to B), P2=P6, P3=P8, LKL lowers 4 to G# and 8 to G, LKR=P5, RKL=P7 and RKR lowers 3 to B? _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

If you added 2 more pedals you could have the same
5 X 4 C-6th setup as Buddy Emmons. |

Hey Bob were you thinking of converting the Carter? What did you plan to use for E9 tuning ? I thought all you had was the Carter, and the Fessy universal. Were you just going to use the Fessy for E9? _________________ Equipment: Carter D10, Zum Stage1,

Didn't Redd Volkaert get an S-10, and set it up for C6, a few years ago? |

Does anyone out there who mostly uses a single E9 carry a separate C6 for occasional use alongside it? (Instead of rigging a D10 every time but maybe not using the rear neck.) Just wondering - plenty of players of other instruments carry more than one. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

Here you go, Bob:

P1 and P2 work like the A+B pedals of E9th. P3 and the knee levers are standard C6th changes. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |
