The raised neck and lacquer finish were common on the earlier Mavericks. Sure this is an exceptionally pretty one. Never seen one with inlays and a pedal rack like that either.

It's similar to mine in many respects. The finish is nicer (mine was originally painted black), and it appears to have a roller nut (mine didn't). It looks authentic to me, perhaps one of the first made.

It is an older model with a raised neck-- before they were so cheap.

the quality of the maple and the inlay makes it unusual.
could this be a Custom Mav' ?
or a early model ?
