My PSG buddy told me that I need a 1/2 stop bellcrank to do a 1/2 lower and then another 1/2 step on the same knee lever. Anyone have one of these for sale or is there another method that this can be done.

You do not need a 1/2 step bellcrank (bellcranks are not specific about what they do)- you need what is known of as a "1/2 stop". This is a term for any number of commonly used mechanisms that offer increased resistance at a tunable point and are most commonly found on a knee lever.

1/2 Stop not step. That's what I meant. Sorry for the confusion.

Which pull do you want a half-stop on, Bill?

Are there any other pulls on that lever that could be utilized to create the 1/2 stop point?

There are 2 common ways to accomplish that:
1- use a longer pullrod and add a mechanism with a spring on it between the bellcrank in question and the left end plate and mounted to the cabinet or
2- add another bellcrank to the crosshaft for the LKL and have it go to a different string that is usually one of the lower strings that you usually wouldn't be using when playing the string with the 1/2 stop string and adjust the 1/2 stop on that string.
There are a few other methods as well- if you'd like to e-mail or call me we can discuss this a bit more~~
