Can you connect both speaker outputs on a stereo pwr.amp to one speaker ?? Will it blow the speakers or the amp or both or will it work and double the output ?? - olde geeze - AKA Eddie "C"

It would definitely blow you amps, and would be very costly to repair.

Correction...You could do that IF the amp is designed to do it. It's called BRIDGING, where you wire the 2 outputs such that they can drive one speaker.

But don't do it unless you really KNOW what you're doing, AND the amp is designed to perform that function.

Many amps are designed to allow this and even include a "mono" switch. As long as the phasing is correct it will work fine. The same theory works well in high power transmitters. Feed the output of each into a "combiner" and on to the antenna. Like the audio circuits, the phasing MUST be correct, or the solid state devices will quickly turn to liquid.
