Hey everyone,

Maybe you've heard about ttp://www.concertwindow.com/? It's a way for musicians to put on online performances using only their laptops. I think it's a great way for specialty artists to be able to connect in real time with people who appreciate what they're doing. And I think it would be an amazing way for steel players to be able to share their music with a broader audience than just local ones.

I'll be doing a broadcast next week, Wed., April 9th at 4pm. I'll be playing my tunes along with a great trumpet and bass player.

The link to the show is:
http://www.concertwindow.com/shows/4804-myk-freedman-rebecca-henessey-and-michael-herring

I think it would be great if other forum members set up "home concerts" and let us know about them. That way we can hear what people are doing in an interactive way.

let me know what you think.

Yeah, I strongly encourage everyone to check out the site and consider doing a performance on it. Depending on where you live it can be pretty hard to go hear steel players live. And as a steel player, it can be difficult to generate a following in your local area. But this way, we can find each other and as both players and listeners.

I think it's great that people post so many videos and recording of themselves. Hearing each other in the moment seems to me a way to take it to another level.
