Joseph, which album is it? I guess I never noticed any steel on OMD tracks. Sounds intriguing!

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are...unique. They originated around Springfield, Missouri in the early 70's. Their music ranges from pop (Jackie Blue), to rock (If You Wanna Get To Heaven), to country (Country Girl), to hillbilly twang (Chicken Train), and everything in between. GREAT music, maybe a bit of an acquired taste. They are one of my favorite bands and they do still do a few shows in the region. I always try to catch them live when they come to town.

Their record label originally envisioned them to be competitors to the Eagles and Poco in the then-new country-rock market, but they didn't fit that mold. They pretty much forged their own path.

Here's their official site, it has some good info: http://www.ozarkdaredevils.com/
