Looks like a Fender 1000 to me. Depending on condition could run from $800.00 to $1200.oo IMHO _________________ Carter D12, MSA S12, 12 String Custom Made Non-Pedal, Evans FET 500LV, Evans SE200, Peavey Nashville 400, Fender Steel King |

Bob, you got a Fender 1000 there. It looks like it's probably in good enough playing condition to get going. Is that fire damage at the tuning keys? I've seen those going for 1200.00 in better cosmetic shape, but IF it plays well you might get $900. Others closer to the action may know better.
Fender 400 is a S8
Fender 800 is a S10
Fender 1000 is a D8
Fender 2000 is a D10 _________________ Zum Encore, Zum Stage One, Fender 2000, Harlan Bros., Multi-Kord, |

I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer on this old stuff but i thot the 1000 was a 10 string -- single - 10 ---- double 10 = 2000 etc
your suggested value sound ok depending on condition -- this one is missing some tin on top also
any other ideas out there ????? |

Thanks for that info - I’v got it now -
I’m not sure what happened to the tuner end - a friend of mine sent the photos - he’s not the owner -- he thot it might have been cigaret burns and painted over .
your value sound like it might the area to look for
I’m learning guy’s keep em coming |

I'd go with $700 - $900 on that guitar. The bridge covers are missing, and they're an expensive item to replace, and the finish is also pretty bad at the keyhead end. These guitars are only worth about $1200-$1400 in very good shape, so there's no way this one should get into 4-digit territory. Still, many overpay for them just because they're an "old Fender", and they think they should be worth big money, someday. Unfortunately, that's not the case. They're very limited compared to modern guitars, and most buyers, discouraged when they find out what they really have, noodle with them for awhile...and then throw them in the basement for a decade or two. ![Confused](images/smiles/icon_confused.gif) |
