A few highlights from Friday in the Non-pedal Room:
Roger Edgington tore it up today and Debbie Talley had everyone swooning with her silky alto nuanced delivery of "Crazy" (Albert on steel). Billy Robinson had everyone in stitches with his road stories and new house guitarist Jamey Cummins took many great solos and is a nice guy to boot. Bassist (and flugelhorn player) Richard Wright knows all music and has no need for charts, having played in Vegas for years with artists like Sinatra and Woody Hermann. Tony Locke shared his triple-neck tunings with us, and the Friday night pizza party was awesome as usual. Of course there's more, but this is just off the top of my head.... |
