Called Peavey and they no longer stock these type knobs. If anyone has a couple laying around you'd part with, let me know. This is the kind I need:

Hi C.E.
If there the plastic type that just push on, I do have some lying around. White, brown, blue & orange.
From the pic I believe these are the ones you need.

Posted a better pic...these knobs are black & gray plastic. Peavey used them on a bunch of stuff in the 90's. I'd like to come up with 2 of these so they all match.
Surely someone must have an old carcass lying around sportin' these things....? _________________ "il brutto" |

CE,
Yes, these are black with a light gray top with a
gray line down the side. Like a pointer ie 1-2-3 or 12 o'clock. They look like the same ones to me. I took them off an old 90's mixer amp that I discarded.
Do you want them.

Those are available at tubesandmore.com. Just look under knobs and then select Peavey for the brand. Around 2.10 each. |

Hi Everyone, I am new to PSG and this site but have been lurking for awhile. In fact many of you have already unknowingly helped me with the choice of my guitar and many tidbits of knowledge - thanks for that! I hope someday to contribute.
My question regarding Peavey knobs: I have a Peavey Renown 400 in very good shape out of the cabinet. I'm planning to make a combo 115 cabinet with a neo magnet. I will eventually need a reverb tank but immediately need knobs. I believe I can find the normal push on knobs online (or something close), but cannot find the concentric tone knob set or even alternatives. Given all of the Peaveys of this era with these knobs, I'm hoping I have some options. Can anyone advise where to look? edit - I've added an image of the knob that I think I'm going to have problems finding (mid shift concentric)[img]

Thanks Ken. I did look through that site but wasn't finding the sweep control (concentric) knob. I will send them an email.
Can you tell me what type of knob is on the Nashville 112? Is that a push on type for a 1/4" or 6mm shaft?
BTW, rec'd your package of opamps. Thanks for the quick service. |

I guess this could be the bottom to the concentric knob: http://www.tubesandmore.com/products/P-K423. I just couldn't verify that it would fit on what I think is a 1/4" concentric shaft. For $2.25 I could gamble.. |

Done and done. I think I have what I need. I'm going to try the concentric lower knob that I found online with another 3/16" small knob I found. I will use cream chickenhead knobs for the rest - not sure how this will look but I didn't want the OEM colored knobs with my stained pine cabinet.
Thanks Ed and Ken for your help and interest!
P.S. I'm still doing my forum searches, but I may post some questions regarding soldering a different connection for the reverb. It looks like someone may have already soldered to four male connectors on the chassis. We'll see...at this point I'm not sure chasing down onboard reverb is worth the effort. |
