Bill, it looks like "Chief Chad Jones" is ready for some good pickin'! Now I saw a picture in the line-up there of Mr. Bill Myrick doing his part in making music on the steel guitar. Now, Mr. Myrick, may I request, or may I strongly suggest, or flatly put my foot down....that a picture of you playing your steel guitar every time we have a jam at our club...you know the Ozark Steel Guitar Association Jam. Mr. Charlie Steichen is well qualified to hold your camera and take your picture.
Really Bill, those are great pictures of you and your friends at Siloam. All those steel guitars look so good lined up along with the "back-up band"! And that looks like a superb venue to have your jam sessions! Looking forward with great anticipation to the Siloam Springs Show and my recommendation to all that are reading this, "Come on down!" You'll enjoy fun and music and great fellowship! I guar-en-tee!! _________________ Jerry and Venda |

Thanks Bill and Chad for the pictures. Jerry you know that you and Venda are part of our April Show 26th and 27th. We're working on getting all things to come together. I second it will be a good show and really great seeing old friends and new ones. |

Bill I went home and researched the Same Ole Me song and I think you're right , no B flat in it. I think that would be a good song for an assignment. I guess I should mention that was playing in G. |

I didn't see my picture there......reckon it was because I wasn't there? Looks like y'all had a great time. I miss hearing Bill Myrick, Norma Jean Lucas, Larry Garrett and Donley once in a while. Meanwhile I looked for y'all at the TSGA earlier this month but since I didn't see you, I assumed you didn't make the trek. I'll always appreciate the warm friendly welcome I received from each of you whenever I visited Springdale and y'all let me play with you at Country Your Way. I'll always be grateful for the kindness you showed my dad and for the joy it gave him hearing you play. Thanks so much. Each of you steel players owe it to yourselves to take a spin trying out the new Vintage Vibe amp. Zane King's comments about it under the post about BMI being at the TSGA says far more than I could ever say about the amp. I hope someday I'll be proficient enough to sit in that semi circle of steelers there in Siloam Springs. I take my BMI out a couple of times a week, and I know I'm better than I was 2 years ago when I got it. However, the more I hear guys like y'all play, the more I want to learn. |

Hey Lindell,
I was at TSGA but didn't see you.
It was a pleasure knowing your dad and it was fun to see him having a good time. He certainly enjoyed music.
You're welcome at any of our get-togethers any time you can make it. I hope you can come to the Tulsa show. It looks to be a great one.

Yes, Larry, Dad really liked music.....I though he liked sports 'cause he played baseball and boxed, even some Pro fights. Only as an adult did I realize how much he loved music. Especially when his little boy was playing too!
I'm so sorry I missed seeing you again. I worked in BMI's room throughout the show. Wish you'd have come by and jammed with us some. We did have some fun. |
