Just had dinner and picked up the "Bakersfield" album at Cracker Barrel. Vince Gill and Paul Franklin. Awesome, go out and buy it!

Yes it is. Plus, the Cracker Barrel cd has 4 bonus tracks on it that the 1st Bakersfield cd that I bought doesn't have. I bought the one from Cracker Barrel too just for the 4 extra tracks. There's a cool instrumental on there called Buckin' Merle and Paul's 2:30 minute outro on High on a Hilltop is well worth the price of the cd. They also do one of my favorite Merle songs on the Deluxe cd...I Kept the Wine and Threw Away the Rose.

Now I want some Chicken and Dumplings with some Hash Brown Casserole and green beans!!

Is the Cracker Barrel version available from their website? Don't think the chain has any presence on the West Coast

I may have to order the four additional songs from iTunes that are included on the more recent Cracker Barrel version. The original album was released last summer.

This Bakersfield album - might be a Steel Guitar Forum all-time record for highest number of threads about one CD. There must be at least 20 by now.

If only the forum had some sort of feature that would let you search for something to see if it's already on here somewhere.... Wink

Got the Cracker Barrel one about 3 weeks ago, and I've about worn it out already. I can't go anywhere in the truck without it. I turn on the radio, punch through 3 so-called country stations for 2 seconds each, then hit "CD" for the rest of wherever I'm driving to.

CD is awesome. There is another link here on the Forum with some of these intros/solos tabbed out. Also, went to see The Time Jumpers on Mon 2/24 and had front row table right in front of Paul & Vince. What an awesome group/show and probably the best entertainment value on planet Earth. Enjoyed a brief visit with Paul & his son Darrel.
