Looks like a good lineup of players, sorry you won't be playing Johnny… I plan on being in Austin recording the week after the show, hope to catch you somewhere.

Some have cancelled due to conflicts with their work or recording schedules. Jay Dee Maness, Buck Reid, Doug Jernigan and some other fantastic players will be there. I still expect to have a good time at the show.

Buck Reid is worth the price of admission alone. Monster player and prince of a nice guy. Never miss an opportunity see/hear Buck; he is amazing.

Maybe the promotors are not paying enough to make this show a priority for some of the players and keep them committed.

Hey Earl,,,Yes,,,,we miss seeing you on the Texas show!!! In the early days it was you, Buddy Hrabel, Gary Hogue, Jr. Knight, the three "kids" (Zane, Steve and Blake),,,etc,,. You set that 'Bud on fire!!! I always thought of you as "Texas' answer to Doug Jernigan",,,,,

It was a great show, with excellent attendance! One of our best, in spite of Tommy's and Paul's regretful cancellations. There was still a plethora of awesome picking happening.

I have edited this post's second paragraph because information I received from Sid Hudson left me in the wrong. I apologize if I have offended anyone by my mistake.

Johnnie, for whatever reason you were not there, I, for one missed you. Your set is always a bright spot. They only have so many spots and someone will always be left out. Like you said, maybe next year.
