Hello All
Does anyone know if you can use a volume pedal other than the Roland brand with the cube 80gx amp? The documentation is pretty sketchy about this. If any pedal will work, do you need the GA-FC foot controller or can you just plug it in to the FS input on back of the amp or maybe the boss FS-6 that came with it? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Are you talking about a volume pedal or a foot switch? I use a Goodrich volume pedal between my steel guitar and my Roland Cube 80x amp. For a foot switch, I've been using an old Crate foot switch, but recently bought the Roland FS-5 foot switch so I could have a longer cable. _________________ Brad’s Page of Steel

I use a Telonix VP, sounds great. I also use a foot switch from a NV400 with my Roland 80XL. The only problem, if one feels it's a problem, is to turn effect on/off or switch the channel depending on where you plug into to is you have to click it twice to either turn it on or off.

Thanks for the advise guys...I bought a volume pedal from Doug Ernest (Stage One), but haven't gotten it yet...so sounds like I can use it with the gx. Just plug it into the input jack on top of the amp.
thanks again for the help |

George McLellan's scenario indicates that he is using a latched footswitch for switching. On the other hand, an unlatched footswitch will require only one press. Interestingly, the unlatched Roland footswitch is configurable so that the change occurs upon pressing the footswitch, or upon releasing the pressed footswitch. |
