Hey Kenny, we will have a good time. Since our donations will be going to the Wounded Warrior Family Center at Ft. Sam Houston I am trying to get a speaker from that charity to speak at our next meeting. I hope we have a good turn out for March, it is a busy month for steel guitar players. We have our jam session March 2, and the TSGA Jamboree in Dallas March 13 thru March 16. See you there Brother....jr

We had a really good jam session March 2 at the William Randolph American Legion Post 593 in Converse, Texas. We had 3 non-pedal steel guitars ans 2 psg. Our players on non-pedal were Mark Moseley, Stephen Cowell, and Roger Edgington. Pedal Steel guitar was David Halverson and yours truly. Our band consisted of Ken Piper on fiddle and drums, Ben Price vocals and guitar, Mark Moseley on guitar, Dr. Bill Ricketts on drums, and Jim Cleckler on bass. Everyone had a good time and a big "THANKS" to the American Legions great hamburgers. Our next jam session will be April 6, 2014 at the same place, same time, and hope you will be with us....jr

Hey Joe, what a time we all had. Its kinda different to see more non pedal than pedals, but what the heck am looking more to the non-pedals myself if and when I get to get one. Oh by the way I didn't play the skins Dr. Bill takes all the credit and what a great job he does. It was just the fiddle with back up and I love to smile and have a lot of fun. Thanks for all that you do!!!

Thank you Kenny, you and Mark and Ben help a great deal each and every month. Roger and Judy Edgington are also very important to our jam sessions. Their counsel is very important. Our wives make a big difference too, great to have them involved. The American Legion Post #593 is very good to us and the hamburgers are to die for. Our band is getting better and better. Jim Cleckler and Dr. Bill Ricketts and of course you and Ben and Mark do it. And then there is Dean Schilling..what a horn player...I never thought a trumpet would fit in but the way he plays it seems like home...jr
