Damir,
Call Jimmie Crawford at: JCH 615-824-8934, he can probably give you more information than anyone else.

JCH is alive and very well. I took delivery on my new JCH 10 months ago. Jeff recently borrowed it for the new Clint Black video filmed in Dallas. Trust me, you will not be bothering Jimmie by calling and asking him any questions you may have about his guitars or even what he had for breakfast. He's not bashful! Every one of his guitars have a special sparkle and they sound just like a................................................................................................JCH!

Here's a pic of one of Jimmie's "creations".
They play and sound as good as they look!

Bob Hoffnars JCH,

those must be the most beautiful mica guitars I have ever seen. How Jimmy does that?WOW.I never played one but I`m sure they play as good as they look, someone who invests so much time into the look of their guitars must be perfectionist sound wise too.Great job.Outstanding.

Damir,
That is just Bob's picture of a JCH. I had one from the early 90's and it was blue. I don't currently own a JCH but I wish I did.

I love the carpet on Jimmie Crawford's wall! It almost reminds a person of an Alabama red clay dust storm. Now that natural finish guitar that is sitting in front of that guy with the beard was just finished last week and looks 10 times better than the picture. Mark Giles outdid himself on the inlay and finish plus it sounds like a Tiger that is getting ready to mate 216 times in a row. Now that's gonna be hard to top THAT SOUND!

Mike
Is that Buddy's new guitar or is he just playing around with a really good looking blond?

I was over there last week and saw Buddy's guitar in progress. It's a black beauty!! And the combination D 10-12 is very interesting.
I want to go on record as saying I fell in love with Jimmy's guitars the first time I went to his house 15 years ago and saw and heard his blue JCH. I think they are as good as they come. J.C. leaves no stone un-turned and goes the extra mile to make each guitar a masterpiece. He gives everyone he builds a guitar for the same treatment and will make you feel like you're the most important person in the world.
One of these days I'm gonna own one of those jewels and I can't wait. And this is coming from a DIE-HARD Emmons push-pull player.
Jeff and Jimmy told me the waiting time is less now too and that makes it an extra plus.
If you're thinking of getting one DO IT, you'll be glad you did.

The "blonde" in the picture with Buddy goes to a "happy camper" in South Carolina or somewhere. Buddy's cabinet is glossy black which is rather mundane for such a prolific player who could have had purple, tomato puke or that acid pattern found in hotel restrooms with gold trim!

As a D-12 player, this is very interesting. Is Buddy going with 12 strings on E9 or C6, or an E13 of some kind?

Jim,

The 10 string neck is E9 and the 12 string is C6. Buddy should be the one to explain the tuning of the extra 2 strings. I did hear Jimmy say there's a D note in the middle but he didn't say what the other one was.

I forgot to mention that when I was there they had another guitar in progress that was a different color that all you firearms lovers would want. A gun-metal gray metalic formica. It was mighty pretty. And he has a great selection of colors to choose from.

Hi Mike. That gun metal grey color is called anthracite. The only reason I know and can spell it is that's the color I had the top of my Tomato Puke done in. That cabinet is beautiful in that color.
