Here is my steel guitar rendition of Runaway. I have acquired a couple of new boxes recently, one is a leslie simulator(DLS Effects RotoSim) and the other is an adjustable low/high pass filter(EHX Knockout) and have employed both boxes on this track.
Runaway was a number-one Billboard Hot 100 song made famous by Del Shannon in 1961. It was written by Shannon and keyboardist Max Crook, and became a major international hit. It is #472 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time from 2010.
The track was recorded "Open Air" with a little Zoom H2n portable recorder, processed in Audacity as a WAV and converted to mp3.
I started playing steel guitar in May 2012 and am having great fun with it.

I don't hear much Roto-Sim.

I am a bit conservative when it comes to effects, so have the dry/wet signal skewed to the dry side, which preserves the tone(adjustable internally). It was in slow chorus mode the whole way through, so there was no spin up or down.

That's a pretty cool sound. Great use of the RotoSim, which seems to sweeten the sound just enough to make the frequencies sway a little more, which suits the chord structures really nice. I enjoyed that track a lot, Pete.
