Emmons original maple......questions

does anyone know the history. timeline of the first load of maple for emmons bodies came from?

would it have been enough to include the 70's models or did they constantly obtain various supplies?

how consistent is it up into the legrande and 'now' era?

for that matter, do all the top companies that build wood bodies obtain a vaery similar grade?

All wood was ordered from a supplier and is Northern Hard Rock maple. An order would only last a few months at best. No way earlier wood was better than later wood. However each order had variences in density. My 97' LeGrande was made from a board that was very dense and was heavier than average. It is a great guitar but no better than any other.

I had a 66 Emmons D10 that was not made out of maple. It was some sort of almost black wood like mahogany. Greg Leisz has one just one serial number away made out of the same stuff. That steel was a cannon.

I'm not sure what my 67 Emmons are made out of. Seems like maple but I am no expert.
