I've dabbled with this for a few months, asked questions here and there, and still haven't solved my problem.
I use Hitrax and Van Basco's (VB) midi players. There's a super nice Midi file Just Out Of Reac you can search on the VB site. I wish to delete three of the tracks which are playing the melody. There are 8 tracks in the following order:
Jazz Amp (XG) X
Steel Str Guit
Nylon Str Guit
Piano 1 X
Piano 1 X
Piano 1
Fretless Bass
Brush (XG)
I would like to mute the 3 tracks with the "X" 's.
I can mute them while playing the tune, but I cannot seem to "save" them with the tracks muted.
Somebody told me to use RealBand which I have but have never used. Is there a sequence I can use with Realband, or some other way to end up with a playable file, i.e. BIAB, Midi, WAV.
Even when I change the key or tempo in the Midi file and save it, it doesn't save that way.
Thank you folks.

I have found 2 versions searching the VB site, one has 9 tracks not named & one has 12 tracks. Neither one of them are named the way you mention.
Could you post the midi file, or at least a link to the correct one? If so I will take a peek at it for you... |

Yes, you can use RealBand to delete or mute the tracks, then save it with the changes. Look in the help file for specific instructions. _________________ Justice The Judge SD-10, 2007

Thank you both Jim and Pete. I've had an email from another Forum member who has the particular one I asked about, so I'll look at that first. If it doesn't work out, I'll get back to you Jim. And Pete, I'll follow through on your suggestion soon.
