Peavey Classic 30.
I'm a Fender Amp guy myself and used a PV Classic 30 on a gig a couple of years back. I was underwhelmed by it in a quiet practice (only had it turned up to about 3.) But when I used it on the gig and turned it up to 5 or 6 BINGO, entirely different amp and it sounded great with the perfect amount of breakup for electric guitar. Cleaned up nicely with the guitar volume rolled back.
Hope this helps. |

I like the Barber tone press.. for tele and twin.
Not a distortion but tames the beast with out changing the tone.. or crank it to full compression.
For distortion I use a OCD with 18 volts.
On steel I have a Earth Drive which is a good choice for tele also. |

My bad...
Boss Super Overdrive ($50) or a Danelectro Transparent Overdrive ($60.) You can get Grit to Overdriven sounds and still retain some of the actual sound of your guitar. |

Go get you a Tube Screamer for your guitar and that Twin will do the trick just fine. The choice of touring professional worldwide... |

The Keeley Red Dirt Overdrive pedal is fantastic w/a "Tele" and a Twin. Smooth overdrive, quiet, and breaks the Twin up, even w/JBL's. Some bandstands don't have enough room for two amps, so the Twin fills the bill, for Steel and Guitar. |

Zendrive Overdrive is very smooth to full on distortion easy to control your tones.
I also like the Klon Centaur currently sold as KTR and also Electro-Harmonix Soul Food is a good clone of this pedal for about $62. |

Don't forget the Emerson paramount transparent OD
I also like the boss blues driver. I know it's a boss pedal and frowned upon, but it's a great sounding pedal! _________________ Milkmansound.com |

If you like the Tube Screamer, check out the Crowther Hotcake - it can do Tube Screamer and a lot more. "drive" in the middle is tube screamer, drive "off" is pure clean boost, drive at 4 o'clock gets into fuzz tone territory.
the Presence knob gives that mid boost that gives tube screamers their signature tone...makes up for the mid cut on Fender amps. You can turn it down for Marshall-type amps. Or just set it to suit individual taste.
And there are internal switches for a more bluesy tone or use on a bass... _________________ https://www.lostsailorspdx.com
