Just received my new Stage One volume pedal and I love it. It is light but does not walk around and I do not have to worry about breaking the string because it has a rack and pinion geared action. It also has two outputs which the older pedals did not have.
Doug builds a quality product for not a lot of money.

Yes I have both the Encore and the pedal and will break them in on a couple of gigs over the weekend if we don't get snowed out like we have the past few weekends. I love the sound of the Encore and most of all the weight of it.

Yep, I should be getting mine any day now. I'm so glad Doug picked up on the idea of a rack and pinion mechanism. I HATED the string in my Goodrich.
Daniel, so true about bands these days. It's somewhat consoling to hear that it's the case out west too.

For those of you who have this pedal, how is the feel/action compared to a regular string driven pedal. Can you feel the gearing as it moves?
I still remember the old DeArmond rack and pinion pedals...you could feel your foot vibrate as the gear moved!

Yeah, its everywhere. There are people to play with and they will tell you they want to play classic or hard country, but what they really want to do is play top 40 and southern rock, I'd rather play the VFW halls than a big casino, a long as we are playing the real deal.
