Southern Illinois Production will have there next Steel Guitar show April 24,25,26, 2014 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, at the Holiday Inn Convention center. Thursday will be local talent on stage starting about 10am, and Thursday evening will be a singing talent search, come sing with a live band, $250 1st place, $150 second place, $75 third place with trophies for the top 5 places. Friday Morning 10am starts our day with talented steel players from all over the country, ending that evening at 10pm - 11pm. Saturday morning will start at 10am with more great country music till that evening. again I don't expect the day to end till 11pm. There is so much talent going to be there again this year, like, new hall of fame member Joe Wright, member Terry Bethel, member Russ Hicks, Michael Hermsmeyer, Mike Sweeney, Mike Sigler, Tyler Hall, Rose Sinclair, Herb Steiner, Bob Case. Our Guess stars this year will be the fabulous Leona Williams and Ron Williams, back for there fourth year, and making his first appearance is ( ready?? ) Tony Booth. On Saturday at 12 noon, for beginners, those that's be playing for some time and the advanced player, Mike Sigler will be giving a simminar. About 2 1/2 hours for $40. Contact Dave Flanagan 618-267-0696 or Dow Smith 618-967-4635 to save a spot for the class. S.I.P. has kept there price the same for 4 years thanks to your support. advance ticket price for Thursday $10 at the door will be $12, advance Thursday $20 at the door $22, Friday advance $20 at the door $22, all 3 days advance $40 at the door $45. When booking a room mention your attending the steel show for a discounted room price. With a room there is a free breakfast buffet, and free parking for all. Wait there's more. Venders, we have dropped our price on Vender booths to $100, and with that comes Two ( 2 ) 3-day passes. Our back-up band again this year is second to none On Bass Ric Boyer, On Drums Jeff Stoffel & Mark Fitch, On Keys Piano Peggy Bode, on Fiddle Dennis Stroughmatt, On Lead Guitar Terry Smith. I've already got my bags packed, Dave! The staff band alone is worth the price of admission. These guys started working on this show right after the last one was finished. It's always first class.

Had some questions: Mike Sigler's class on Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 30 minute break then 1:30 to 2:30 will be question and answer with demo and hand outs, so this class is for advance players, those that have been awhile, or just starting out

Roger, I plan on doing the talent show Thursday evening and playing Friday if they have a spot. I miss seeing my friends, which includes you. lol

here is some more info about the steel show in April The Holiday Inn convention center in Mt. Vernon Illinois has a special rate for those attending the show. To get a room reserved call toll free 800-939-4249 Cool Free parking, and with a room you get free breakfast

Hey Brother Dave!!!

I might be able to be back in Illinois for the show if you want to pencil me in!!! Not sure what you have planned!

Ive been gone since Jan 4th, working with Jason Petty and Carolyn Martin from Nashville and the Doo Wah Riders from Los Angeles!!! My last scheduled show with them is April 8th in Florida, then high tailing it back to LA to pack up and return to Illinois... Can He Make it Ladies & Gents??? LOL! We shall see!!!
