"Here, There and Everywhere" , ranked the 4th greatest song of all time by Mojo in 2000, was written by Paul McCartney and recorded for the Beatles' 1966 album Revolver. Inspired by the Beach Boys' album Pet Sounds, McCartney wrote the song at Lennon's house in Weybridge, Surrey while waiting for Lennon to wake up. By the time he'd woken up, McCartney says he had pretty much written the song, Written by: Lennon-McCartney. Recorded: 14, 16, 17 June 1966; Producer: George Martin; Engineer: Geoff Emerick.
Played here on West Coast C6 steel guitar with accompaniments on a Stratocaster 2005, Martin custom X, and Roland E-09 keyboard ( accordion, tubular bells, and strings). All tracks performed by me. Key of G with an unusual chord sequence leading from the verse to the chorus and a shift in the tonic.

PS: please press "pause" immediately at end of this track if you wish to avoid Soundcloud jumping suddenly to the next track (which is Mitch Crane) jukebox fashion, a bug that i have reported to them but have not yet fixed. |
