My wife surprised me by replacing the fake stone in the tip of my BJS bar with a real ruby! Now I'm not trying to start another tone thread , but I couldn't help but notice an improvement in my "sound". Could it be that the resonating qualities of a real ruby stone backfeeding the strings through a highly polished and highly conductive BJS bar being held by my hand (which also has tone), has resulted in, dare I say it, improved TONE!

Or was it the Guiness I was savoring while playing with my new bar!

Anyway, I really thought the new ruby setting in my bar was a thoughtful and nice idea by my wife, who I appreciate for just putting up with my playing, let alone contribute to it!

Yeah, but replace it with a BLACK ONYX and your tone will improve even more.
