i'd like to see a bunch of pics of 12 string steels. keyless, keyed, msa, kline, bmi, anapeg, franklin ,ritt, fessy, zb, bud...blah blah and on and on. anything and everything s12 or sd12....willims, zum, mullen...
i need some inspiration for my head.
especially from an aesthetic point of view, but mechanics also.
i'll start with these shorties:
david wright had the right idea with his old hot rod 12...!!
..and i just can't get the concept out of my head that a compact, do it all, hotrod steel is the way to go |

I think that Williams keyless, and that weird p/p keyless are pretty cool. You're on the right track I think.... |

Here is my purple Millennium
Here is the white one I found on E-bay
Here it is after I decorated it. Normally I prefer my steels plain and unadorned, but I felt this one was too plain looking. The decal may have been too much, but it really needed the pin stripe.

Here ia a blow up of the picture I use for my avatar, with my Green MSA classic. Unfortunately you can;t see the timing pegs'
and here is my former white classic.
The fact that I owned 2 white guitars is just a co-incidence. I don't have a thing for white. I think though that although the Millennium is a much better instrument, I think the classic, with its black trim, is visually far more attractive. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

i dunno mike...your purple one has always looked great to me. i've always assumed that the millenium is just about as good as it gets. i know pete grant got one awhile back, too, but i've never seen it.
they may become a rare breed. |

This is my newest addition to the herd:
A Mullen S12 with an armrest that was recently setup by Mickey Adams as an Extended E9 4X5. Got this from fellow forumite Rick Andrews.
My very first 12 stringer:
Got this Fessenden a few years back from Mike Perlowin and configured it as a Universal E9/B6 as shown here. Its got 8X5, the older logo style (no horns), and a Trutone pickup. Its currently setup as an Extended E9 also. BTW I've got too many now, so this guitar is listed for sale, and currently at Mickeys if anyones interested. |

Chris, I agree, the purple one is eye candy. I was referring to the 2 white ones. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

I've posted these before. The Cadillac started out as a Dekley and Guitarzilla is a titanium tube guitar with a bass neck. It's machined to have pedals and knees, but after thinking about it. If I need a pedal guitar, I can bring one.

We can set this up next to yours, Ivan. The mahogany woodgrain actually came through in this photo.
Almost done with it. One pull is being ... difficult. String 4, of course...

Anapeg. This guitar will be at the Dallas Convention next month and is for sale. It sounds and plays as good as it looks. No more are being built and very few come up for sale so a rare opportunity for someone to own one of these superb instruments.

Wow
I look forward to having a look at that guitar Ivan. I bet your old mate Reece Anderson would have liked to have taken a look at it too. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator.
