Topic: Nashville 112 Amp Settings |

The settings I use for the Nashville 112 are:
Pregain: 3; Low +9; Mid -15; Shift 12 noon; Presence 12 noon; Reverb 5; Master Gain 3.
Are these settings close to being right, way off or what.? I am open for suggestions and would appreciate hearing from you guys as to how you set up your Nashville 112. Thanks

I'd suggest the following changes:
Leave Pre, bass, high and presence alone, and run the mid at about 10 o'clock and the shift at 2.
Also Master volume at 10, so you'll have gobs of sustain.

Hey Gary, This is what works for me.
Low +6 ,Mid -12, Shift 800k ,High +4, Pres +6
Rev 4 , Pre gain 3
I play an Emmons LG III with a single coil and I love the sound I am getting. I just switched from a Nash 400
and it took me a while to adjust to the 112.
Experiment and have fun.

Gary I forgot to mention that I also use a DD3 with those amp settings. Makes a big difference.

Lane and Rod, both of your recommendations sounded better than what I had. Lowering the shift and a tad on the mid produced a nice sound. Increasing the gain did produce tremendous sustain, but I had to be careful with the volume pedal. Thanks. Gary

Hi Gary! Hope this helps - I've been using the following settings on my Nashville 112 for a while now:
Master vol. on 6
Pre Gain on 4
Low on +4 to +6
Mid on -8
Shift on 800
High on +2 to 3
Presence on +2 to 3
Reverb on +3 to 4
I'm using a Jackson "Blackjack" (single coil p/u) steel - going from the steel to a Sarno "Freeloader" box (it allows you to change the load on the pick-up slightly - gives a little more or less brightness), then to a "Barber Tone Press" parallel compressor & then into a Hilton volume pedal, which has an adjustable "on" screw to control the amount of volume when the pedal is backed off. I adjust these settings slightly, depending on the size/acoustics of the room/venue.
I have found that you have to try a new setting for a few days to let your ears kind of get adjusted to the different sound, and then maybe try a slightly different setting for a few more days to find what works for you.
In any case, it's an endless quest to find that "sweet spot" in the settings....it's lots of fun experimenting, and you will find that you don't have to adjust the knobs very much to change the sound.

| Gary I think it depends on the steel you are playing. I have an Emmons D10 P/P and an MSA Classic S12. They both need completely different settings. Turn the knobs until you like what you hear. |
