How hard is it to add a half stop feel for 6th string lower? My G2 has one, but my pre RP don't. I like being able to lower my G# a half to get a minor. Seems like it could be a big job though.
edited to maybe make since.

Which are you wanting, a half stop or a split? Shouldn't be hard to do either. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Terry, go to the carter website. There is info on how to do this. Also somewhere on the forum is a thread where I use a plunger to do this. I works great. There are other ways to do this also. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Lane I want the half stop to get a 1min, my 93 has the split so I can get the purty 7 chord by lowering my G# a whole + my B pedal. All I have to do on my G2 , which has the half stop, is engage it to the stop for my minor, and add the A pedal for my 7 chord.
Bill, I'll see if I can find the thread about the plunger. not sure if I've heard about a plunger for a half stop. Thanks a lot.
