I'm inches away from finishing up Beamo, the aluminum beam steel. The Trilogy lets you tune in three preset notes per string. I've got a six-string on a guitar and their suggested tuning ideas work great - but an 8-string with a choice of three notes per string, and then played with a bar, yikes. If anybody has a specific set that they are comfortable with, let fly!
Right now I'm thinking that sort-of odd E13th (missing it's E in the middle) would be a good starting place.
High to low, with the Trilogy notes following:
E_____ D, F
C#____ C, B
B _____ A, C(?)
G#____ A, G
F#____ F, E(?)
D ____ C#, C
G#____A, G
E ____ D, F
The fifth and six string changes sort of re-install some missing octave notes. One could speculate endlessly, but maybe someone has gone all deep into the thing. |
