Hi Ray, thanks for asking. You might like the Landmark, they've got the good, "real" country music we all love every night, and they treat the local steel pickers right. And there is never, ever a cover charge at the Landmark Saloon! There is, however, a fine bar and an excellent kitchen, with friendly folks at hand to make things right.

This Ron Rogers outfit is no doubt the least "country" act that they book, as we regularly stretch the box, playing a variety of music with bass, drums, guitar and steel. The drummer hasn't turned sixty yet, but the other three of us are well seasoned...our show centers around Ron's songwriting (he and friend Joe New co-wrote Del McCroury's "Forty Acres and a Fool"), which is for the most part roadhouse derived American music, some of which may defy classification altogether. You can listen to our latest release and make up your own mind online, and for free, at

That being said, it would not be unheard of for us to segue together Steve Young's "Lonesome Ornery and Mean," Sir Douglas' "She's About a Mover" and The Coasters' "Gonna Find Her", we will definitely do Buddy's "Nameless Shuffle" and Booker T.'s "Time is Tight" as featured steel instrumentals, and we might even include Duke's "Take the 'A' Train" or Brubeck's "Take Five" or maybe even the "I Love Lucy" Theme.

You just never know about these guys...

Woohoo! It's that time of the month again Razz

Ron has written some sweet new songs to add to the canon, and don't be surprised if you hear the steel picker launch into "Whiter Shade of Pale," "Somewhere My Love," "The Tonight Show," and/or "The Stripper." It could all happen, and more... Cool
