Thanks Guys, I'm plan to post more artists, vendors and seminars very soon. We are also working out a discount room deal with Holiday Inn Express for our over night guests.

The event is being held at the Libertyville civic center, plenty of free parking and easy access to and from downtown Chicago.

And yes TC will be playing with Jump in the Saddle Smile

More info to come,

Thanks again
Matt

I am excited about coming to the Libertyville show. I will be bringing some new Mullen Steels for beginners and the advanced players. These steels are ready to take home with you.

I will have new Hilton volume pedals and accessories such as bars, Pro-Piks, high end cords for your steel.

Also, I will have my 2 courses on the pedal steel. The first one is how to properly tune the E9th neck using the Peterson Strobo Plus HD Tuner. We will have plenty of the new tuners from Peterson and the leg brackets and AC plugs to charge your new tuner from the wall electricity.

Peterson tuners will be in my stock and new steel guitar legs and sockets for the lap steel builder.

I will be playing sometime at the show using the same techniques I teach in my E9th course on how to get started playing and making the steel a much easier to learn instruments. These are long time tested techniques used back in the 70's at the Jeff Newman seminars.

Come pick up your new steel, volume pedal, bar and picks and a very beneficial course on how to easily play and tune the E9th. neck.
This has been proven to be the fastest and easiest way to get going on the Nashville tuning neck.

See you there!

Hi Matthew, I see special seminars throughout the day,
I had a thought that maybe one of them may have a course
on improving actual comping ,

I would like to get the
stale melodic sounds off of my playing at all times if possible,
Its More of a mental approach to playing a melody line.

I would definitley pay & sit through one of these seminars w/out gear

Just a thought

Hey guys,

Here's the seminar listing, they will be held before the music begins on Sunday, starting at 11:30, full schedule to follow soon.

Doug Jernigan Master Class - fee $15 class size may be limited.

An amazing opportunity to sit down with one of the worlds foremost steel players. Learn techniques, tips and tricks from a true master of the instrument. All are welcome to attend but fair warning this seminar is slated for mid level to expert players with a solid understanding of the instrument.

How to find your tone w/ TC Furlong of TC furlong custom amps

This seminar is an expert overview on how to get the most out your amp. With decades of experience and research TC will teach you the tools you need to find the tone you are searching for as well as show you how to dial in some classic pedal steel sounds.

Building a Lap Steel Guitar w/ luthier Ron Mielzynski from RAM guitars:

From rank beginner to expert woodworker, luthier Ron M. will walk thru basic construction, wood selection, electronics, hardware and how you select the right materials to get the sound you want. Ron will teach you how you can construct a simple homemade lap as well as cover the techniques the pros use to achieve a work of art.

What's that funny looking keyboard ?? Aka what is a pedal steel? W/ Matt Carlin

This class is geared for beginners and pre beginners. A beginners guide to understanding, finding and learning the pedal steel guitar. Changers, pedals and knee levers you'll get a full tour of the instrument. We will cover some basic maintenance as well as some of the key differences of steel guitars your will find on the market. All will be encouraged to sit behind one and try it out.

Find yourself a new Mullen steel, Hilton pedal(guitar or steel pedal), great replacement legs for steel guitars. I have the sockets to attach and screw legs to a lap steel or lap steel stand.

We take Visa, Mc, Discover at the show also.
