Next RISGA meeting will be Sun.,March.16th at the Common Fence Point Com.Hall in Rhode Island. Check out the RISGA web site for info & directions. Doors open at 12:30 P.M. We don't serve "burgers & beer" =(BYOB) but we have the best bunch of pickers in the area !! Pedal steel , non-pedal and dobro players are available to help out newbies and all join in for the Jam session !! There's no "dance band" playing , it's all just steel guitars for 5 hours !! Hope all players in the area will drop down and join in the fun !! You will be glad you did !! olde geeze AKA Eddie "C"

If I haven`t learned "All of Me" with idiot licks I might not be comfortable playing it. If I show up I`ll show the ambassador the proper way to sit in a chair. Also I`m going to learn "Together Again" in C as Chuck Rodrigues plays it in that key. Paul Franklin and Vince Gill did it recently on Jay Leno. I think they were in the key of C.

Manny and Eddie you guys should be able to play together again in any key.If I can do it you guys can to.I love to play I Don't Go Around Mirrors and I use Merle Haggard CD for Back up.I also love playing Look At Us.I just tuned my lap Steel like my Dobro G B D G b D and I do not use the two out side strings until I can figure out what I want them tuned at.It is a great 8 string Dynalap Lap Steel that Mark Vinbury built.Yes Eddie and everyone We are on our way home again for good. I have a lot of problems with my heart and I'm going to have to have heart by passes done.I may have to have it done before we leave for home.We have our home up for sale by owner and we have one lined up in Coventry R.I. where we use to live. After we are therefor a year we will get a apartment for the elderly.OK You Guys have a great meeting and jam. I will be joining you all again for the meetings and Jams.

Sam, you are moving again for the 50th time to our neck of the woods? We already have Eddie Cunningham as our ambassador to local steel guitar. Because you recently announced that you`re 77 years old, I am going to give you the alias "OLD BASSADOR".

That's OK Eddie we know what we are and people have their own opinions. We both know we are good people and we can get along with any one.Everyone I have ever met in R.I. and every where we have moved we have a lot of close friends and the one's in Tennessee'North Carolina Maine,Vermont'Florida, and Arkansas all stay in touch with one and other.Anna and I are good people and we do not dis like any one as we feel everyone is our friends that we know. Our Friends down here in Florida do not want us to leave either but we have to do what we have too come back home to Rhode Island and stay put now. Getting to old to keep moving around. We are planning to move back as soon as our home sells here and Buy a Mobil home for about a year or so and then go into Housing for the Elderly.Hope to see you all in a few months.

Hi Eddie yes we are hoping to sell here in a month or two. It is on the market now but we do not want to drive all that way in any snow.Around the mid to end of March would be fine. It was 86 degrees here yesterday and in the upper 70s to low 80s all the way to next Tuesday. Can you stand it HA.We have three different buyers that are going to get the Bank for their approval for a loan to buy. We are just sitting on our price and some one will come along and buy. Have a great jam and Show Manny who the Boss Man is HA.
Take care and say Hi to everyone for us.

Anna and I want to thank Marsha and all the members of Rhode Island Steel guitar Association for doing a great job and keeping the Rhode Island Steel Guitar Association going and doing a great job.I did it because Manny asked John Jiacovelli, Mike Tierney, and myself to start a Steel Guitar Show. John said no way he did not know how to do it and for me to do it and Mike said he was to busy with his Classic car and Surfing but wood help when you could. After about 3 to 4 month's I said to Anna lets start a Steel Guitar Show and she said lets do it and here we are after 17 years it is still going.I want to thank Tony Palmer,Roger Trahan, and Marsha Rodrigues for helping to keep it going.Marsha has been President for 8 years and doing a great job. Hope you all have a great Valentines Day.Hope to see you all around April or may when we move back home for good. Going into Elderly Apartment.

I made a backing track and also have written out the chord chart for All of Me in G. If you want one I'll have them at the meeting. I still haven't got my version all worked out yet, but I know Pete will play some sweet stuff, and maybe I can steel some ideas.

If you're interested in being part of the next RISGA Steel Show make sure you come to the meeting!

See you there.

I am getting excited about the meeting. Let`s hope the snow dosen`t cancel it. We are delighted to welcome a new member. David Johnson, NESGA`s V.P. will be a nice addition to RISGA. Also Ron Cote is bringing his pedal steel and joining RISGA. We will also be joined by Mass. hall of famer Dean Sampson on guitar. Ron and Dean will carpool. With these extra dignitaries coming, I hope the ambassador Eddie Cunningham fulfills his mission of diplomacy and dosen`t embarrass us by falling off his chair.
