Is there any difference between a EVM 12L and a EV SRO 12L.

The early SRO's were alnico, the later (70's?) marked SRO were ceramic, and probably are close to an EVM12L.

Wish I still had the pair of Alnico SRO's I had years ago ......They were the BIGGEST sounding 12" speakers I've ever owned .... and perhaps the heaviest too !!...Jim

I had a 15" SRO years ago and sold it for $50.00. I should ask the fellow I sold it to if he still has it. Massive magnet on that puppy.

Bill.. Click "Follow This Search" (it is in green near the top on any Ebay listing) and you will get a daily listing of any item you select, sent directly to your e mail... this is the best way to get a heads up on new listings, and how I found the EV SRO for a great deal... Smile

Thanks for all the input on this. I came into a really clean SRO and didn't know if there was a difference between the SRO and EVM 12L. I know they are proud of a new EVM 12 L. We have a good speaker guy in town who makes his living reconeing high end speakers so I'm thinking he could fix this speaker right up. Just don't know if I should leave it 8ohm or go to 4ohm and use it with a split cab NV 400. Thanks JM
