Hey Guys,
I'm a new steel player, but been playing guitar for 17 years. I bought some Jeff Newman courses and also will be taking lessons with a local guy, but any advice or help with technique would be much appreciated. I bought a Show Pro for my first pedal steel. I am very pleased with the quality of the instrument and the attention to detail that goes into it. Jeff is a really nice guy and was great to deal with! I will most likely buy another Show Pro if I ever decide to get a second pedal steel. Steel guitar is a beast!!!
Cheers,
Jason

If that's the guitar Jeff had in St.Louis, I played it! Smooth action and quality build for sure. One pointer, get that right elbow tucked in against your body. |

Ditto on keeping the right elbow in close to the body. And move your seating position to the right; line up the center line of the body with the 15th fret. Copy what Jeff Newman does in his videos. And that Show Pro is a beautiful instrument!
Good luck! |

Haha, see, PSG isn't completely dead to the younger generations!
Congrats on the guitar - a friend of mine just got a Show Pro a month or two back and man is that ever a fantastic instrument. |

Roger,
This wasn't the same guitar. It might've been the same color though. 10/4 on the right elbow. ![Smile](images/smiles/icon_smile.gif) |

Out of all of my pedal steels, I love the tone of the Show Pro the best. They are mechanically, tonally and cosmetically superb, and built by a guy who takes a real pride in his product and customer service.
May she give you many years of untroubled service Jason. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator.
