I don't quite know where to post this since I'm not selling a product but this is the only place that this topic seems to fit.
I had been using a leather tobacco pouch to carry my small guitar related tools like picks, tone bars, slides, etc., mostly all the stuff I needed when I left the house with a guitar or two. It quickly became apparent that a tobacco pouch was far from a perfect solution with everything jumbled together and whatever I needed at any given time guaranteed to be at the bottom of the bag.
Just recently I picked up a Maxpedition E.D.C. Pouch for work related items and the voices in my head began to scream that it would be perfect to organize and carry all my miscellaneous guitar related gear. I picked up another one and loaded my stuff into it. It's not perfect but it's pretty darn close.
This is just my second day of using it but it seems to be the best guitar tool carry system I've found.
I've got it loaded up with the following:
1/4 inch phone plug to jump an amp input
Extra strings for dobro, acoustic guitar and tenor guitar
flatpicks
string winder
amphenal to 1/4" cable adapter (for vintage lap steels)
penlight
phillips and regular screwdriver disguised as a pen
golf tee (keeps ball end of string in place on tailpiece when changing strings)
nail clippers
fingerpicks
Bullet bar
Stevens bar
Metal Slide
Ceramic slide
Needle nosed pliers
tuner
capo w/ bridge pin puller
I may want to add an extra 9 volt battery but I'm already pushing the capacity of the pouch.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my solution in case anyone else was looking for a way to organize and carry their gear. |
