Hi guys,
This is a circa 1950 Oahu (Valco-made) lapsteel. All original except for replaced tuner buttons (one tuner shaft is bent but working on the single-line, slothead Kluson tuners), some assorted scratches and chips in finish. Original, single coil pickup with adjustable poles works, sounds nice and strong, volume pot a bit scratchy but gets better as you use it, no big deal to lubricate but I didn't feel like taking this one apart. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and metal frets, otherwise this is very much like the "Diana" model you see often. The peghead veneer has some checking in it but it's intact. The case needs some attention as the lid currently comes completely off, so the hinge areas would need reinforcement but all latches are there. I'm asking $375 including CONUS shipping by Fedex, and I will ship outside US for additional shipping charge. You can email me at jkally3@cox.net or PM, but I can't check my PMs during the day on weekdays so regular email is faster. This is the last lapsteel I expect to sell for awhile, and my two Fenders have now found new homes. Some pics:
