Would anyone care to recommend a good pedal steel teacher in the Nashville north area.
I'm in Bowling Green KY and I'd like some personal instruction.
I would drive to the Nashville area.
If you don't want to post a recommendation you can PM me.

Self recommendations are welcome.

Smile

Thanks

Kevin

Doug Jernigan isn't too far south if I recall. Halfway between Franklin,Ky and Nashville at least when I lived in Franklin back in '98. Don't know if he's still teaching. I would definitely go that route if available.

Doug lives in White House, which isn't far from Hendersonville. I might be able to locate a phone number for him around here somewhere. Jeff Surratt (Show-Pro) would certainly have it,.. I've seen Doug out there a time, or two.

If that doesn't work out, I might consider taking on another student, too. Scheduling might be a bugger, but we can try to get the most out of 'em. Weekends are usually in play, and periodically, I do get a string of week days off, too.

If you'd like to discuss a (possible) future get-together, I'd like for you to call for a chat, so I can get an idea about how to best prepare a fun, productive, confidence-building set of exercises, and direction/goals for you to work on, and build upon, every day. The 4 main things that I'll ask you are: >>> (A) What are you interested in learning?... > (B) What, roughly, is your current level of understanding, and lay-out of your guitar?..(scales, chord positions, etc) > (C) What is your current playing (execution) level? - How well do you play what you do know, already?) > (D) Do you have any 'chronic' problem areas, bad habits, hang-ups, phobias, fingernail-chewing, or eating disorders related to, or caused from playing pedal steel?

Drop me a line, or call me at (615) 618 0776,..If your 'trail' grows cold...

I found Doug's Phone# >(615) 459-6711
I believe that he now lives in Smyrna, Tn - Not White House, like I thought...

Here's a link > to get a link > to Buck's main e-mail.

Kevin, look up Mike Sweeney.. he's north of Nashville in Goodlettsville. He does personal in home lessons as well as Skype. He's a master of both E9 and C6 tunings.
