Ok here's what I got... I have the rod hooked up that lowers the 6th string to F# all is good there. When I lower the string to F# and then press the B pedal my 6th string F# goes to up to G# .....so how do I get my G note with rod 3 ??? I'm confused with the chart as the string needs to be lowered not raised.

I was thinking that I'd be close to a G note and would need to raise it slightly but I'm not I'm at G# ? Strange !

Larry, you have to tune it in the right order. IN ORDER:
First, back off the "extra rod"almost all the way.
1 Tune the G#
2 Tune the A of the B pedal with the nut on the raise hole from the B pedal
3 Tune the G note of the spilt WITH THE NUT IN THE LOWERING HOLE
Now you'll find the F# is flat (this is because the tighter a string gets, the more changer movement it requires to move 200 cents. It will take more finger movement to drop from A to G than it will from G# to F#)
So you tune the F# WITH THE NUT IN THE RAISE FINGER FROM THE KNEE LEVER.
If you take the steps out of order, you'll chase your tail all night long.
