The correct name of our "new band" iS "OPEN RANGE", and we'll have a mix of traditional country, western swing, and cowboy music. Our band leader is Don Brewer (accoustic, lead guitar, vocals), with Cliff Stripling (bass, vocals) John LeMaster (steel, vocals) Keith Portwood (drums, vocals) and "Ole man Portwood, on (guitar, harmony)Thanks again for the announcemwnt, Lonnie _________________ Music is probably the most "spiritual of mankinds emotions, and when practised with a pure heart, can lead one into the presence of God, who invented it. Lonnie, I can't wait to hear your band... I love your picking and John is one fine steel player and gentleman.
I'll miss hearing Doug's great picking, but will catch up with him later. Great line-up (except for that Tommy guy)

Fred, thanks for the kind words, you ole "snowbird". You are quite a picker yourself, and I like it because you do some songs that others don't do. Keep it up!
Jim, borrow enough for a bus ticket (can't be much) and come on down. Why lay around on your @@@ &&& while we have all the fun?.. HEH!! HEH!! _________________ Music is probably the most "spiritual of mankinds emotions, and when practised with a pure heart, can lead one into the presence of God, who invented it. Lonnie Portwood |

I can't make it as I'll be picking in Floral City that night.
At least the FSG Club will be well represented by several of our super pickers,
Jack Daugherty, Fred "Tommy" Thompson, John King, Ollie Strong and others from around the state.
