Just recemtly I got off the path to try a different touch on my 1974 Dobro. I worked the subject two songs out and you can listen by clicking the undernoted link.
This style was influenced by both Chet and Los Indios Tabajaras although their playing was Spanish rather than Steel Bar in the left hand.
Happy New Year to all.

Very nice Roy, how many guitars do we hear, is it just one or one playing the chords and one playing the melody? What tuning do you use?
cheers

Hi Lee and thanks. I hope you keep 'ole Giby out for a while.
........and thank you Sebastion! There is some Classical Guitar padding in there but back in the mix and out of the way. I am using just the standard blue grass tuning: DBGDBG

Roy, that's absolutely gorgeous, both the arrangements and the performance.
I looked on your ClicTab site, to see if tab was available, but didn't see anything. Do you have these arrangements written out? |

Thanks for the comments!
Kekoa,I do not have those arrangements tabbed at
present. I only do up the arrangements if there is a demand. Email me if you wish further info. Thanks for your interest. It would be nice to hear more people playing this style.

Roy, you are always uniquely you in terms of touch, tone and expression regardless of the instrument. That's a real gift. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |
