I need some ideas for what to play in my part of the show. (something off the beaten path)

How about Ginza Samba by Vince Gauraldi? Cool challenging tune, that's definately off the beaten path.

Earnest, something from the African continent would be a refreshing change!

I don't care what Earnest plays, I'm gonna listen. I really enjoyed his Tribute to Les Paul a few years ago.

I will only be able to attend one day. Should I just pay at the door, or is there a discounted price for one-day advanced-purchase tickets?

thanks

Bruce, there is no discount for one day tickets. Just pay at the registration desk when you get there.
See ya soon.

Earnest, anything from the Severed Head In A Bag catalog would be fine.

How about "A Way To Survive"? That's one of YOUR favorites, right Laughing Laughing Laughing

I love the way Buddy Emmons did it. But it never sounds that good when I play it.

Paul, Roy, Chuck and I have a running joke about several songs, and "Way to Survive" is on that list - some times we hear the same song 8 or 10 or more times in a show.

But it is all good.

Hmmmm it turns out that my part on "The Man With The Exploding Head" is all tuba and no steel guitar. I don't know how I could have forgotten that. But then now that I think about it, I don't know how I can actually remember anything at all from any Severed Head In A Bag show. So I guess I won't be doing that in Phoenix ... unless I can find the tuba ... I know it must be around here some place.
