Does anyone have the tab for the solo on "Hey Baby" by JJ Cale? I've read conflicting posts that it's Emmons, but I think it's Lloyd Green. |

According to Wikipedia, it was Lloyd Green (tracks 1 and 9).
I tried to post a link to the article, but for some reason, the link leads to the definition of a Troubadour, not info. on the album Troubadour by JJ Cale.
Thanks for posting this. Great song!
Now I have something new to try and figure out.

Try this link. The original one contained parenthesis which don't link right.

I have the LP, and checked this a while back. I'm sure the sleeve notes said it was Lloyd Green. _________________ Williams 700 series keyless U12,

This, from Lloyd Green,
In another effort to keep the historical record as legitimate as possible….I played steel on the song “Hey Baby†by J.J. Cale; my tone, my ideas, my playing……and I cashed the check for the session.

Can't help you there, Dan, altho' it seems to be in C, with the riff Bb-B-C recurring. In the line "Don't let nobody try to bring you down" I think it goes to Eb7-D7-C, seems a fair starting place on my six-string guitar anyway. It could well be right, if you think about it, it's the other riff inverted, which seems elegant and creative.
These notes by JJ Cale might help:

I like the solo too. You've lit my fuse now, I won't be able to stop till I've worked it out. _________________ Williams 700 series keyless U12,
