Looking for a '65-67 Good condition amp. All has to work, and prefer a clean at least 8 of 10 condition, Can have changed tubes, caps, speakers only. Let me know what you have. Can pay up to $1,200.

Loni.I have a killer 65 all original except tubes, handle and power chord.Has original foot switch but no cover.I had planned to E-bay it.However I'll be a first time E-bayer so that will hurt.I can do pics no problem and I've shipped amps all over the USA.Even shipped a 67 Super. As you know Supers are hard to ship because they're so top heavey. What I'm trying to say is I can pack.$1200 want buy it it but $1400 + freight might...........bb

Good Lord,I received a 1/2 dozen E-mails in 10 mins.To answer a few questions. The cab is in great shape.Only couple of small dog eared tears. They can be glued back. The grille cloth has a couple of small tears. To do this right I have to pull the chassic and photo all the transformers and such. You know E-bay type pics.I don't have time to do this now.Maybe middle of next week.If you're in a hurry you'd better bid or buy from someone else.I'm in no hurry to sell.If I do decide to sell here Loni gets first call.I would rather the money go to the Forum than E-bay.Besides I'm behind on donations anyway. However I can't sell it but once, well legally anyway so I need to get all I can. Thanks..bb

Probably original. Do you know if it hums badly, or at all? If it does hum, it's usually dried out caps, or maybe it just doesn't know the words.

It hums a little. And old friend of mine is home this week.Terry Crisp,A very good player. He couldn't get over how good it sounded for steel. However I was going thru a 1501 shallow basket in a Peavey 115 cab.I told him it was all in the hands. .............bb

I'v got a 72 Super that has been recapped, retubed(Svetlanas)and Blackfaced by Billy Penn of Penn Musical Instruments (pennalizer.com)
It also has a on/off pot on the vibrato that allows you to take it out of the equation and add a little more power and better tone! $900 plus shipping.

Great pics! While I deliberate on this purchase, I'd like to share the 'expert' opinion of my associare Myles Rose, tech support at Groove Tubes, to whom I had forwarded these images.
"This amp is VERY original. The larger caps on the board do not even show signs of lealage.
The caps are proper as are the speakers.
This amp looks to be in very good shape visually. There is no discoloration on the screen resistors, which means the amp's bias was never set too far out of whack.
Nice amp"

Look at that wiring and then imagine it with a glass of draft beer spilled into it when the bassman stepped up to the mike to sing...that's what happened to me! It was never the same! I went to SS after that.

The caps do look ok for
their age, I can't see the
filter caps under the pan.
You can count of replacing
them just so you will have peace
of mind knowing that they are fresh.
I don't think electrolytic caps
disturb the tone. Just my opinion.

How the heck did beer get into the wiring of a Super Reverb? Did someone drill holes in the top?
