Alumitone pickup installation for MSA

I would like to know what is the best way to install an alumitone pickup on my 76 MSA Universal? Im thinking about screwing it on the guitar.

I did that with a Carter (Mounted it to the body) and even though the strings were almost a 1/4 inch from the strings.. It worked very well for me.
